An uninhabited residential property, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, had been found to hold an abundance of severe structural cracking in need of attendance. As one of our specialities, we were happy to help our client bring their property back to structural health.

The Problem:
The house was found to have moved to quite a large extent which caused severe cracking to the wall below one of its windows and on its whole back and side walls. These cracks made the house’s damaged walls fall away from the main body of the building, rendering it completely unmortgageable. The reason this build had moved to such an extent was that it was located very close to a pond, on top of very wet ground, and because it had insufficient and very shallow foundations.
The Solution:
As a means to solve the grave problems we identified, we underwent emergency propping work, took down the old gable and rebuilt it completely. In all we ended up installed new and improved foundations which were built to a standard which should have been applied to the property when it was first built.
