Severe Structural Cracking
An uninhabited residential property, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, had been found to hold an abundance of severe structural cracking in need of attendance. As one of our specialities, we were happy to help our client bring their property back to structural health.
The house was found to have moved to quite a large extent which caused severe cracking to the wall below one of its windows and on its whole back and side walls. These cracks made the house’s damaged walls fall away from the main body of the building, rendering it completely unmortgageable. The reason this build had moved to such an extent was that it was located very close to a pond, on top of very wet ground, and because it had insufficient and very shallow foundations.
This property was rectified via comprehensive underpinning to its perimeter walls and severe crack stitching to hold it all back together. While laborious and intensive, our work did wonders for this property which was in dire need of repair and restoration.
