De Vere Beaumont Estate Hotel
The beautiful De Vere Beaumont Estate Hotel in Old Windsor had experienced comprehensive death-watch beetle infestation damage to much of its timber in the form of dry rot. As one of our specialities, we were happy to help our client bring their property back to structural health.
The De Vere Beaumont Estate Hotel in Old Windsor was in dire need of a comprehensive treatment as remedy for the damage some of its timber had suffered as a result of its woodworm infestation. Some of its timber, such as the existing roof, had been completely damaged and was found to be in a fully dry rotten condition from death-watch beetle infestation.
As a remedy, we created new beams and new pieces of timber and exploited them into the old beams by bolting on a metal plate, one the two were connected together, as a means to strengthen the whole structure. We further treated the timber to prevent any further deterioration.
