Cementitious Grout & Ground Injection Grouting

The Danger of Subsurface Voids and Weak Ground

Ground Injection Grouting

A structure is only as strong as the ground beneath it. When soil washes away, compacts unevenly or loses its load-bearing capacity the foundations are left completely unsupported. This leads to severe subsidence, cracked floor slabs and catastrophic structural failure. Ground movement does not correct itself. If you ignore failing soil the voids will multiply and eventually compromise the entire geometric stability of your asset.

The Unacceptable Disruption of Mass Excavation

Precision Soil Consolidation and Void Filling

Structural Repairs bridges the gap between geotechnical science and structural engineering. We deploy advanced pressure grouting and ground injection techniques to stabilise weak soils and fill hidden voids directly beneath your assets.

We do not rely on guesswork. Using empirical geological data we inject highly engineered grouts deep into the earth to permanently alter the physical properties of the ground itself.

  • Cementitious Pressure Grouting: We pump highly flowable, non-shrink cementitious grouts into subsurface voids under controlled pressure. This permanently fills cavities caused by water washout or historic mine workings to provide a rock-solid base for the structure above.
  • Compaction Grouting: For loose granular soils we inject thick, mortar-like grouts. As the grout bulb expands it forcefully compacts the surrounding soil to dramatically increase its load-bearing capacity without needing to excavate a single inch of ground.
  • Targeted Delivery: Our engineers drill precise injection grids through the existing slab. We drive steel lances deep into the targeted soil strata to deliver the grout exactly where the geotechnical data dictates.

Ground Grouting Technical FAQ

What is the difference between resin injection and cementitious grouting?

Resin injection uses expanding chemical polymers which are ideal for rapid lifting or stopping water leaks. Cementitious grouting uses specialised liquid concrete mixes. It is highly cost-effective for filling massive subsurface voids, consolidating deep soil strata and providing immense compressive strength for heavy industrial loads.

How do you know where the voids are beneath the ground?

We never guess. Before any injection takes place we utilise Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and core sampling to map the exact depth, size and severity of the subsurface voids or loose soil zones.

Will ground injection disrupt my daily operations?

The process is specifically engineered to minimise disruption. Because we inject the grout through small holes drilled into the surface there is no heavy excavation required. We can often execute these works in live operational environments or during out-of-hours shifts to keep your facility running smoothly.

Can you grout under a heavily loaded warehouse floor?

Yes. Cementitious pressure grouting is highly effective for stabilising industrial slabs carrying heavy racking systems or dynamic forklift traffic. The high-strength grout restores full bearing capacity directly to the underside of the slab, preventing further settlement and trip hazards.
