Concrete Slab Lifting & Re-levelling

Sunken Floors Destroy Operational Efficiency

In commercial, industrial, and logistics environments, a level concrete slab is a critical operational asset. When underlying soil consolidates, washes out, or fails under dynamic loads, the concrete slab above it sinks. This creates severe trip hazards, misaligns heavy machinery, and wreaks havoc on material handling equipment. In a high-volume warehouse, a sunken slab means forklifts must slow down, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) fail to navigate, and racking systems become dangerously unstable.

The Unacceptable Cost of Traditional Replacement

Millimetre-Precise Lifting in Hours, Not Weeks

Structural Repairs utilises advanced geo-polymer technology to lift, level and stabilise sunken concrete slabs in a fraction of the time of traditional methods. We deploy high-expansion, closed-cell polyurethane (PU) structural resins that cure in minutes, not weeks.

Our engineers drill penny-sized injection ports through the sunken slab and inject the liquid polymer directly into the void below. As the resin reacts, it expands with immense lifting force, consolidating the loose soil and gently raising the concrete slab back to its original datum point with millimetre precision.

  • Zero Downtime: The structural resin cures to 90% of its full compressive strength within 15 minutes. Forklifts, HGVs and heavy machinery can drive over the repaired slab almost immediately after we finish the injection.
  • Non-Disruptive: There is no heavy excavation, no wet concrete and no dust. We operate seamlessly within live environments, often completing repairs out-of-hours or during standard shifts with zero impact on your surrounding operations.
  • High Load Capacity: The engineered geo-polymers we utilise are specifically formulated to withstand extreme dynamic loading, making them ideal for high-bay warehouses, airport taxiways and heavy industrial manufacturing plants.

Railway Arch Restoration Technical FAQ

How does resin injection lift a heavy concrete slab?

We inject a two-component structural polyurethane resin beneath the slab. When the two components mix, they trigger a rapid chemical reaction that causes the material to expand up to 20 times its liquid volume. This expansion follows the path of least resistance, first filling any subsurface voids and consolidating the soil and then exerting a controlled, massive upward force to lift the concrete.

Is resin slab lifting a permanent solution?

Yes. The high-density structural resins we use do not degrade in the soil, do not shrink and are highly resistant to water washout and chemical attack. Assuming the underlying geological settlement has stabilised, the lift is permanent.

How accurate is the re-levelling process?

It is exceptionally precise. Our technicians continuously monitor the slab’s elevation using laser levels during the injection process. By controlling the flow and expansion rate of the resin, we can lift massive industrial slabs to within millimetre tolerances, ensuring compliance with strict robotics and automated forklift operational standards.

Can you lift heavily loaded slabs without removing the equipment?

In most cases, yes. The expansive force of our structural polymers is capable of lifting slabs even with heavy machinery, internal partition walls or loaded pallet racking still in place. This eliminates the massive logistical headache of emptying a warehouse before repairs can begin.
