The Chemical War
In the anaerobic environment of sewage systems, concrete faces its deadliest enemy: Microbial Induced Corrosion (MIC).
Bacteria produce Hydrogen Sulphide H2S gas which, upon contact with moist surfaces, converts into Biogenic Sulphuric Acid. This acid eats through concrete cover at an alarming rate, risking structural collapse and environmental contamination.

We can inject these against high-pressure active flows, stopping leaks in minutes while the asset remains full and operational.
- Underwater Intervention: Why drain a basin to inspect it? We deploy specialist commercial dive teams and ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) to carry out structural surveys, silt removal and scour protection works underwater. This “wet works” approach eliminates the need for dewatering and maintains supply continuity.
