No Project Too Big Or Too Small

With the acquisition of our new tug ‘Lillian’ we now have added waterside capability and a dedicated team for bridge surveys.

Working closely with local councils, Environment Agency and private bridge owners we have the skill and experience to assess, critique and report upon the structural state and engineering elements of all bridges from above, from the water level and below the waterline.

Wood rot and woodworm

We would start by sending one of our structural engineers to assess and survey the bridge to detect any contributing factors for the breakdown of structural integrity. Inspections would be carried out above and below the waterline. Our Structural Engineer would then provide a detailed report outlining the scope of the work required, what resources would be required, along with how viable a repair would be.

Your options to repair, rebuild or demolish will be presented. We can design solutions with our in house architect team, and we also frequently register planning permission applications and know our way around any pitfalls that may hinder your project completing on time. As everything is done in house, we tend to deliver far faster than some of our less diverse counterparts.

How monitoring works

After installation and the device is set to zero the monitoring device will be scheduled to wake up at set intervals to report crucial metrics. The default setting is every 6 hours – this gives 4 reports per 24hrs. The report will show a line graph detailing a timestamp of the triggered report, and showing the distance of movement detected.

Each time the device wakes up and takes a measurement, it also sends the report to our servers. Our report to your email, or for premium customers; to your dashboard will be set at the intervals you choose: Every 6 hours, Every 12 hours, Every 24 hours, Every week or Every month.

Wood Rot and woodworm

For premium customers, the device can also be set to trigger an alarm if sufficient movement is detected above a certain threshold. This alarm could be via SMS, or a Dashboard alert, or an Email if required.

Any settings changes will result in a faster resource usage than our guaranteed 1 Yr in the field between charges. Any call out to recharge could result in service charges, all of which will be made clear at the time of the initial setup.

In areas of low GSM signal, we have extenders for the aerial but these will use up battery fairly quickly. We also have a WiFi version coming out soon, that can be mains powered as well. Our approach to all situations is to get the data, make sure the data is not compromised in any way, and report on it to the best of our ability. We pride ourselves in developing solutions to assist our customers.

Not to be compared with a cheap manual marker, what we offer is a state of the art, British Designed and Made, High Tech reporting device. Get in touch today for a free quote.
